Fantasy Football: James Conner Injury Means More Benson And Harrison Jr. Work
Arizona Cardinals starting running back, James Conner, suffered a season ending ankle injury on Sunday, in the team’s first loss of the season to their division rival, San Francisco 49ers.
Pick up Trey Benson if you have to but: Its not like the Cardinals have been leaning heavily on a single player rushing attack before Conner got hurt. They haven’t had a 100 yard rusher yet this season. There might be better options out there.
The Cardinals will have to continue throwing: Arizona has had a confusing first three games offensively. Everyone believe Marin Harrison Jr would be off to a fast start but he keeps nibbling around the edges. That has to change.
They host the Seattle Seahawks on a short week: Seattle has stepped up their offense en route to their two wins, scoring 31 and 44 points respectively. The Cardinals will have to score more or risk slipping in the division.
Bottom Line: Harrison Jr. remains a starter with even more upside to a slow start. Benson should be played only if you can’t find anyone with more production through three games.
