College Football Fans Rage As Disney Vs. Google Blackout Continues Into November
While disputes between providers and producers like the one currently happening between YouTube and Disney is nothing new, the stimulus of taking away beloved programming still angers viewers all the same.
The latest reminder of that was on Saturday morning, when fans went to watch their respective alma maters play college football and were denied.
There has been no news of progress between Disney and YouTube although you can still watch ABC (also owned by Disney) with an antenna or in television tuner.
Let’s go to the posts..
I signed up for the ESPN app streaming services thanks to the dispute with YouTube TV.
It's complete dog shit.
You get ads you can't skip, this is in addition to the regular ads during the program.
Not nearly as easy to skip ahead, hard to pause. The navigation is also awful.

I have the Disney, espn, Hulu bundle and I have YouTube tv. Turns out the espn part of that is useless as you don’t get the ABC/ESPN or espn 2 games?! WTF? It’s 2025 and I can’t watch ESPN. pic.twitter.com/ZVxEtBAa0G

FIGURE IT OUT @YouTubeTV AND @Disney IM FUCKING TIRED OF THIS BULLSHIT.
The $20 credit doesn’t even offset the monthly obligation to the ESPN App. Fucking idiots.

So let me get this straight, I can’t watch ESPN even though I’m subscribed to @YouTubeTV & ESPN+ through the ESPN+/Hulu/Disney+ bundle. What a fucking joke @YouTubeTV @espn @DisneyPlus you all suck

The play is ESPN is just going to try to push all their content so high in price that other providers drop it and then sports fans are "forced" to use the ESPN streaming service.
nasty work

THE ESPN APP IS SO BAD WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS TO US
— Sara (@SaraCivian) November 1, 2025
Why pay for ESPN+, when their coverage in contingent on your TV provider (YouTube TV)……….
That makes no sense. As long as I have a WiFi or cell signal, I should be able to watch the ESPN channels.

Who is to blame for the ESPN and YouTubeTV fight? Seems like ESPN right?

All the ESPN folks and SEC posting to fix this is infuriating. YOU DID THIS. Not the consumer.
Stop being whores!

The ESPN App is terrible. Takes forever to load, lags out in multiview, feeds don’t transition automatically in multiview from one game to the next even if they’re on the same “channel”

What do you think? Who is to blame for this madness? Let me know in the comments.
And if you enjoyed this post, please help me see a dentist. Thank you!
