The Dancing With The Stars fandom has mostly broken up into two factions. Only, they’re not warring with each other. They’re actually helping each other get further into the competition.

I’m talking about the Whitney Leavitt “Group Sevens” propped up by the elites that believe excellence is all that matters.

And the “Fandies” or Andy Richter crew that believes you should vote for what makes you happy. It doesn’t matter that Andy can’t dance.

While they’re on completely opposite levels of the talent spectrum, they’re actually helping each other.

Whitney and Andy voters are phasing out the rest of the field. Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars has become about making a point. The voters have taken offense, and are trying to make a statement about who this show is really for.

That means that Dylan, Elaine, and Danielle are losing votes to Andy and Whitney. Next it will be Jordan.

And soon it will be Alix and Robert. The two who can actually hang with Whitney.

Whitney’s voters aren’t going to move. But the support from the rest of the field will realize (like I did with Jen) that having your favorite sent home to make a point about an inferior dancer simply isn’t fair.

This entire debate is playing out on TikTok right now. And let’s be clear. ABC is the big winner at this point. The discourse is on another level.

So, what does this mean for the “orphans” like myself or anyone else who might be sick of both of these factions?

It’s means we have to wait. And hope that one of these factions fall first.

And then maybe we can get back to something resembling normal.

But if not, then we could be headed towards the most bizarre conclusion we’ve seen in some time.
