Dancing With The Stars: Whitney vs. Witney Finale Feels Inevitable
The 34th season of Dancing With The Stars is off to one of its better starts in recent memory, with an engaged audience, professionals continuing to grow their respective fan bases, and a group of celebrities that viewers both love, and love to hate.
But on a competitive level, there is a divide after the top two couples.
Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas.
Robert Irwin and Witney Carson.
And everybody else.
Leavitt and Ballas are the villains. Many viewers don’t appreciate Leavitt’s experience in an otherwise pretty green field, and red flags were raised after a confusing encounter with Danielle Fishel (story HERE). And even Ballas, a pro many fans eventually want to be a judge, has been accused of cherry picking his celebrities for the best opportunity to win. There is no public evidence of those claims.
Robert and Witney are very much the opposite on the hero spectrum. Let’s be real. Robert is a good looking cat. And the coveted demographic doesn’t mind staring at him, while everyone else appreciates his good nature, beloved family, and ties to the show. Witney is also building a formidable marketing presence with the moms, through her own online videos and partnerships that are very well done.
It was also mentioned that Whitney and Witney used to compete against each other on the premiere.
If I’m a showrunner for Dancing With The Stars, there is no way I’m not taking these four to the finale, to both capitalize on the past history and present drama. But also to nail down that powerful 18-45 women’s demographic that makes spending decisions in households all over America every day. That involves the completion of the reality trinity of DWTS, the Bachelor-nation franchise, and the Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives.
And the great news is that its good television.
