Dancing With The Stars: YouTube TV Blackout and Election Coverage Could Ruin Plans

If you’re a Dancing With The Stars fan, then I hope you’re ready for some obstacles ahead of Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Night, with two potentially game changing programming hurdles.

The dispute between YouTube TV (Google) continues against Disney (which owns ABC and ESPN) resulting in the mouse’s channels being blacked out from the service. Now, ABC is still offered over the air for free in many markets, and could be available in your area with the antenna and scan function on your television. If you’ve got another service, or cable you should be fine.

Unless, it’s also election night for you.

That is correct. Major markets in New York, New Jersey, and Virginia will be holding elections for various offices in each area. This means that it’s likely your Dancing With The Stars coverage will be interrupted by local elections coverage in your market. At least once during the two hour broadcast, and possibly twice depending on how aggressive the coverage is.

The only full proof option to watch Dancing With The Stars, is the way Disney would most prefer it. With a subscription to Disney Plus. The streamer also just raised their prices once again with their bundle with Hulu included.

All of this drama goes down when viewers are absolutely locked into season 34. This week will feature a high stakes team dance with the cults of both underdog Andy Richter, and reality overachiever Whitney Leavitt both insisting on victory. Flavor Flav is also scheduled to be guest host.

How will you be watching Dancing with the Stars tonight? Let me know in the comments.
