Fantasy Football: Dontayvion Wicks Targets Will Only Increase With Jayden Reed Injury
The Green Bay Packers lost one of Jordan Love’s most premiere targets on Thursday night, when Jayden Reed broke his collarbone during the Packers 27-18 victory against the visiting Washington Commanders.
Enter Dontayvion Wicks: Who had already been seeing an increase in looks in the first quarter before Reed was hurt, and led receivers with targets on Thursday night with 6, trailing only tight end, Tucker Kraft.
Teams will try to stop Jacobs and Doubs: With the Packers scoring 54 points against two playoff teams, opposing defenses (Cleveland, and Dallas) may throw some extra coverage at Romeo Doubs, who caught a TD, and clog up the middle to stop Josh Jacobs, who also scored.
Matthew Golden may see some extra targets too: The education of the star receiver from Texas will get on the fast track. While he was shut out on Thursday night, expect Jordan Love to look his way in the coming weeks.
Bottom Line: If you need an extra receiver or even a flex, Wicks wouldn’t be a bad way to go.
What do you think? Do you have Wicks on your roster? Will you consider picking him up? Let me know in the comments.
