Fantasy Football: Terry McLaurin Uncertainty Is Indeed “Scary” For Managers

Washington Commanders star wide receiver Terry McLaurin is battling a quad injury he suffered in the team’s romp over the Raiders, which has his status up in the air for Sunday’s game against the Falcons according to ESPN. His injury adds to what has become an infirmary instead of an offense for Washington, with starting quarterback Jayden Daniels missing last weekend’s contest, and running back Austin Ekeler out for the season.

The McLaurin line through three games: 10 catches on 17 targets for 149 yards an no touchdowns. Not good. But better than not having him at all. He’s still the Commanders receiving leader.

If McLaurin can’t go on Sunday: You’ll likely have to look outside of the Commanders roster for solutions. You could try Deebo Samuel but he’s probably not available in your league.

Other options: Chris Godwin is expected to return for the Buccaneers this week against the Eagles. Sterling Shephard is also an option on that same team, with Mike Evans preparing to miss time. You could also try Quentin Johnston on the Chargers or Tyquan Thornton from Kansas City if the secret hasn’t gotten out.

Against Atlanta: You’ll want to find an in house solution. That defense is a mess, allowing 30 points against the lowly Carolina Panthers last week.

Bottom Line: Monitor McLaurin’s status, if he can’t go, look to your bench or a temporary solution in free agency.
